There are  a tremendous amount of self published books out there.  This week The Fish Shelf, along with other bloggers, is highlighting self published authors and indie publishers that could use a bit more recognition.

Today we are focusing on mystery.

Sergi Lebedev’s Untraceable makes good use of recent events to present a thrilling story.

Serge Joncour’s Wild Dogs is a mystery set in the forests of France.

Leighann Dobbs has quite a few good mystery series out. 



K. A. Jordan’s Impressive Bravado is a short story set in the realm of Quarter Horse breeding.

Mandy Hunter’s Passport to Peril series is quite fun.

H. Y. Hanna’s Big Honey Dog Mysteries  feature a Great Dane.



Susanne Allyen is well known for her Arsitide Ravel series, but don’t forget her short stories.

Lisa Shea’s Black Cat  series is a mystery series featuring a black cat.  It is cute.

Adele Abbott’s Witch is Where it All Began  rises above the morass of paranormal mysteries with its likable and flawed heroine.

Le French Press publishes two good mystery series Marion Spicer Art Mysteries and The Winemaker Detective Series

Maryann Phillip’s A Borgia Daughter Never Dies is an engrossing historical mystery.

Ceclie Cabot’s The Cycle of Xhol  series stands out for its setting – Mayan Kingdom.

Richard Zimler’s The Warsaw Anagrams  is a gripping book set in WW II.

Rosie Claverton’s Amy Lane Mysteries are a Welsh mystery series with an unique heroine.
