 The Dr. Seuss books - To Think I Saw It On Mulberry Street, If I Ran the Zoo, The Cat's Quizzer, Scrambled  Eggs Super, On Beyond Zero, and McElligot's Pool  will no longer be published.  This decision has been made by Dr. Seuss Enterprises.  The decision has to do with racial stereotypes in those books.  Story is here  .  This short follows a Virginia saying it will drop Dr.  Seuss books from "Read Across America".Story here

Harriet's Bookshop in Fishtown (Philadelphia)  has a documentary coming out.  You can visit the Indie Bookstore's website here  In Philly, the black woman owned  store is well known for its community center spirit and activism.  They  give out free book at protests for example.  Sadly if unsurprisingly, they have also been targeted by racists.
