There are a
tremendous amount of self published books out there. This week The Fish Shelf, along with other
bloggers, is highlighting self published authors and indie publishers that
could use a bit more recognition.
Today we are focusing on romance.
Amanda Dykes’ Bespoke is a sweet Christmas romance. It is a nice pleasant read.
Joanna Chambers’ Enlightenment series is a LGBT romance series.

retelling of Red Riding Hood.

Wild stands out from the run of the mill erotica fairy tale retellings.
Lisa Scott’s Fairy Tale Flirts is a nice
collection of romance themed fairy tales.
If you remember that time when an author tried to copyright
the word “cocky”, you might want to check out Fettucine Holliday’s works.
Myth and Magic: Queer Fairy Tales was published by
the small/indie press Bold Strokes Books.
The collection is fairy tale retelling with a queer twist. They are usually romance theme. The collection contains one of the best
retellings of “The Snow Queen” I have ever read.
